Accommodations
Hotels
The closest hotels to the venue are in Short Pump (26 minutes) or Midlothian (22 minutes). These towns are nice for shopping (Short Pump has the nicer mall, though) and easy access to all of the sites and activities in Richmond.
The City of Richmond has a number of hotels. We recommend hotels in downtown Richmond for the history buffs and the foodies.
For those looking to escape the city, we recommend making the trip to/from Charlottesville. Charlottesville sits at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We recommend Charlottesville for the outdoorsy and the wine lovers.
AirBnBs
There is a 6 bedroom house available for rent on the property at Historic Whitewood (0 minutes), but only the bride and groom can book this property. It is $2,000 for a 2 night stay. Please contact us if you would like to stay on site! This is a great option if you are looking forward to the open bar.
There are a number of AirBnBs within minutes of the venue. Fine Creek Mills (4 minutes) has around 10 cabins. They have a selection of 1 and 2 bedroom cabins.
There are also a number of AirBnBs in Richmond. We recommend staying in The Fan, the Museum District, or Carytown.
Rachel grew up outside of Pocahontas State Park (40 minutes). There are a handful of hotels in the area and some AirBnBs. We recommend this location if you like chain restaurants and your main goal is hanging out. Her parents have a pool. You could probably go swimming whenever.
