Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What date should I RSVP by?
A: May 19, 2026. If you need more time, please let Rachel or Seth know.
Q: What is the address of the venue?
A: 2987 Huguenot Trail, Powhatan VA 23139
Q: What is the easiest way to get to and from the venue?
A: Driving (safely!). Ride shares may be difficult to get UNLESS you schedule in advance. If you plan to drink, please have a designated driver or ride share set up.
Q: Have you reserved blocks of rooms at a hotel?
A: No, we have not. Different guests may have different hotel preferences, and to our knowledge, there are not any large events in the Richmond area that weekend that should preclude your ability to have a choice of hotels.
Q: What is the dress code for the wedding?
A: Formal. Meaning floor length (or close-enough) dresses and suits. Color and fun designs encouraged!
Q: “You’re really gonna make us wear suits… in Virginia… in the summer…”?
A: I can’t make you do anything. It would just be nice. The venue has fans and we will have water stations and other treats to cool off with.
Q: Are plus-ones and children allowed?
A: Children are allowed and will need to be marked on your RSVP. Kids meals can be provided by our caterer. Plus-ones are not allowed unless your RSVP says otherwise.
Q: Where are you registered for wedding gifts?
A: We are not registered anywhere. We have all that we need, but if you are so kind as to provide a gift, we have provided a link in the Registry tab to help us build our down payment on our first home.
Q: What is the wedding day itinerary?
A: The ceremony will start at 4:00 PM, so we recommend getting to the venue no later than 3:45 PM. Cocktail hour, dinner, and reception will follow, with the event wrapping up by 10:00 PM.
Q: Can I take pictures during your wedding ceremony?
A: We ask that all phones be put away during the ceremony. We have hired a photographer and a videographer to capture our special day. We would love for you to be in the moment with us.
Q: Is it okay to post wedding photos on social media?
A: From the cocktail hour and reception, sure! The bride and groom are not massive social media users, and thus aren’t making a “big reveal” or anything like that.
